This is a 1099 independent contractor position , meaning you will be responsible for your own vehicle, insurance, and associated costs. Responsibilities Install and maintain fiber optic cables, telecommunications network cables, and related equipment in residential and commercial settings Perform fiber splicing with precision to ensure optimal signal transmission and network integrity Use ladder, hand tools, wire crimpers, wire strippers, power tools, and electrical testing devices such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to complete installations Operate company vehicles safely while traveling to various job sites for field service tasks Conduct equipment testing to verify proper operation of network components including Cisco routers, Ethernet connections, telephony systems, satellite dishes, and other telecommunication devices Troubleshoot network issues on-site by diagnosing electrical problems, testing cabling continuity, and resolving connectivity problems efficiently Ensure compliance with safety standards during outdoor work activities involving electrical work, cabling, and equipment handling Skills Extensive experience with network installation including fiber splicing and telecommunications cable deployment Proficiency working with Cisco routers, Ethernet networks, telephony systems, and satellite dish installation Strong background as a telecommunications infrastructure technician with hands-on field service expertise Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, voltage testers, ohmmeters, and power tools for outdoor electrical work Ability to operate ladders safely and effectively in outdoor environments while performing cable installations or repairs Knowledge of electrical principles related to telecommunication systems including power supply testing and troubleshooting Excellent customer service skills to provide professional residential telecommunications installation support Join our team if you're passionate about building reliable communication networks!
