A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions from written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to respond to on-call or emergency maintenance situations. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. What We're Looking For Knowledge and skills usually acquired through an associate degree in telecommunications or related field or applicable training. 5+ years related experience. Computer literacy including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and our industry's billing. Knowledge of testing, switching, and electronic equipment, and all types of cable. Familiarity with cable records, staking sheets, specifications, and circuit diagrams. Understanding of digital technology and preventive maintenance procedures. What You'll Do Install and maintain fiber optic systems Perform ONT installations, inside wiring, and multi-line system setups Locate, splice, and troubleshoot equipment Operate construction equipment and support infrastructure projects Maintain accurate records and documentation Collaborate with team members on projects Participate in an on-call rotation for service needs What You'll NeedYour Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance with 100% employee and 80% dependent coverage paid by the company.
