A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated FTTx Installer to join our expanding telecommunications team in the Fort Wayne IN area. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber-to-the-x (FTTx) networks, including fiber optic cables and associated equipment. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of reliable high-speed internet and telecommunication services to residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills in network installation, fiber splicing, and telecommunications infrastructure, combined with excellent customer service abilities. We are also looking for people who are willing to be trained. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors, operate company vehicles, and develop specialized skills in fiber optics and network systems. This is a full-time hourly positions with overtime opportunities, annual performance bonuses, and room for advancement.
