Telecommunications Designer (RCDD) TITAN has an immediate opening with a client partner, and the position requires working in their office five days per week. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the Overland Park, KS office location. Contact TITAN to determine whether one of these offices is near you. The Opportunity In this role, you will perform the following: Lead communication designs and coordinate with other disciplines Create conceptual and detailed systems designs, including producing design drawings, specifications and design analysis deliverables Coordinate with a BIM/CAD team for drawing production Perform quality control duties and independent technical reviews Manage assigned budgets, scopes and schedules Mentoring and providing guidance/instruction to less experienced staff members Other potential duties: May perform fieldwork and write assessment reports May assist with creation of design guides and templates May provide support to business development or pursuit activities The Team The client's mission to provide a full range of services to our primary client base - U.S. Government agencies and departments. Preferred Qualifications:
As part of this role, you will be assigned to projects supporting U.S. Government Agency/Department clients. Due to the nature of the work, the candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
The following are preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of
NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, BICSI
industry standards, codes, and best practices related to the design of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), low voltage, and telecommunications systems
Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems from a safety and constructability perspective
Strong knowledge of inside plant (ISP) cabling infrastructure to include telecommunications spaces and pathways, copper, and optical fiber cabling and connectivity
Experience in outside plant (OSP) design of copper and fiber optic communication systems
Experience in audio-visual (AV) system design
4+ years of experience designing applicable telecommunication systems
Certifications Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification (required) Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) certification (preferred)
