Arias Communication Services is hiring an experienced Fiber Splicer for a full‑time W‑2 role; we provide a company vehicle, cover travel expenses, offer benefits, and support career growth.•

Position Overview Role:

Experienced Fiber Splicer Employment type: Full‑time W‑2 with benefits

Schedule:

Daytime work with possible nights, weekends, and overtime for outage response•Key Responsibilities Perform fusion splicing, terminations, and testing for aerial and underground FTTH/FTTP and outside plant fiber networks. Prepare and protect splice closures and terminations; ensure splice points are airtight and moisture‑free. Locate and repair cable faults and restore service with minimal customer impact. Read and interpret maps, staking sheets, splice schematics, construction prints, and fiber count reports. Validate end‑to‑end service provisioning and confirm accurate terminations on cross connects, patch panels, and distribution hardware.

Document field work:

complete tickets, take photos, and submit production/time reports using company laptop/phone. Operate safely and compliantly with OSHA, DOT, FCC, and company standards. Travel to project sites and customer locations as assigned; represent ACS professionally in the field.•Required Qualifications Proven fiber splicing experience in aerial and underground environments. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and safe driving record. Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed for outages and project deadlines. Computer proficiency for reporting, testing, and documentation. Pass pre‑hire screenings: drug test, background check, motor vehicle check, and reference checks.•Physical Requirements Lift up to 80 lbs and routinely handle materials between 40-60 lbs. Work at heights (bucket truck or ladder) up to 50 ft and perform pole climbing when required. Perform extended periods of standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and crawling. Work outdoors in varied weather conditions and construction environments. Ability to clearly distinguish colors for fiber identification and testing.•Compensation and Benefits W‑2 employment with benefits including health, vision, dental, and life insurance.
