We are currently seeking candidates for Field Data Technicians in California area! Field Data Technicians will start at $24.50/hour plus opportunity for hourly bonus with weekly pay! Plus hotel expenses, contract specific pay increase, living allowance and $4-$5/hour untaxed reimbursement for vehicle usage. Summary of Position An Osmose Field Technician is responsible for collecting detailed technical information about electric utility and telecommunication facilities and equipment. It is an outdoor position that requires hiking between spans of utility poles to capture data that supports outside plant engineering and various fiber-optic construction projects. Osmose will train the ideal candidate to perform all required duties. This position requires routine overnight travel typically 1-2 weeks at a time away from home. Home most weekends with occasional out of state assignments which may involve longer stays of up to a month at a time if needed. Responsibilities + Work in an outdoor environment to collect field data that supports the engineering and design of fiber optic cable facilities. This will include measurements of attachment heights, span distances, angles, etc… + Submit organized, detailed data for each project that could include maps, field notes and digital images. + Operate and maintain equipment that would include tablet computer, digital camera, measuring tools and Personal Protective Equipment. + Work professionally in the field as a representative of Osmose and our customers. + Communicate effectively and on a daily basis with the project management team. + Work safely and independent of supervision.
