The company specializes in delivering tailored solutions that support clients' needs in telecom, security solutions, and other site development projects. Structure Consulting Group, Inc. (SCG) is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technician to join our field services team. This position is responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining fiber optic, copper, and low-voltage telecommunications systems at customer locations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, comfortable working in the field, and able to complete high-quality work in a fast-paced project environment. Responsibilities Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling. Pull, route, secure, and label telecommunications cables. Install and troubleshoot network, voice, data, and other low-voltage equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and project specifications. Perform cable testing and maintain accurate project documentation. Ensure work meets customer specifications, project requirements, and applicable industry standards. Follow all SCG, customer, and OSHA safety requirements. Work collaboratively with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and other field personnel. Qualifications Previous telecommunications, fiber optic, structured cabling, or low-voltage installation experience. Experience working with fiber optics and Cat5e/Cat6 cabling. Knowledge of cable termination, testing, labeling, and documentation standards. Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a project team. Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record required. Candidates who do not currently hold OSHA 10 certification may be considered if they are able to obtain it within 2 weeks of hire. Physical and Work Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work on ladders and aerial lifts and in construction or active job-site environments. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and use hand and power tools for extended periods. Ability to travel to customers and project locations throughout New England.

Pay:

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
