Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Telecom / VoIP Technician to join our team and drive the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced telecommunications systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects involving fiber optic systems, network wiring, and communication systems, ensuring seamless connectivity for our clients. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) systems, NEC phones systems, Intermedia Hosted and other telecommunication hardware. Conduct structured cabling installation using Cat5, Cat6 cables, and low-voltage electrical wiring in various settings including data centers and commercial buildings. Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, telecommunications testing equipment, and RF testers to identify issues and ensure optimal system performance. Troubleshoot equipment failures related to networking hardware, telephony systems, CCTV cameras, and electrical components using hand tools and power tools. Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to accurately install and repair communication infrastructure. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical solutions clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during site visits or service calls. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or field technician specializing in telecommunications or networking systems. Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, network installation (LAN/WAN), and structured cabling projects. Familiarity with NEC phone system, Hosted voice solutions, Commercial paging systems, Surveillance cameras and NVRs Avaya telephony systems, and Ethernet networking protocols. Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems including AC/DC wiring and electrical safety standards. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, RF testers, and telecommunications testing equipment effectively. Strong understanding of computer hardware setup, network wiring practices, and telecommunication system installation processes. Pay:
$25.49 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
