•FTTH to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber-optic services for residential and business customers. Your responsibilities will include:

Installing, terminating, and testing Fiber-to-the-Home networks at residential and business locations Completing new connections, reconnections, disconnections, upgrades, downgrades, and service changes for internet, phone, and video services Installing and relocating outlets and interior and exterior wiring Connecting equipment and ensuring services operate properly Troubleshooting and resolving FTTH installation and service issues Performing network diagnostics, including ping tests, traceroutes, and speed tests Identifying and correcting signal or service-quality issues Troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing components between the network and the customer's equipment Educating customers on their equipment, services, and the benefits of FTTH technology Maintaining system security by properly terminating unused ports, tagging drops, and securing pedestals Accurately documenting installation, maintenance, and repair activities Following all WOW!, FCC, NESC, and OSHA safety and quality standards Continuing to learn about emerging FTTH technologies and industry best practices Completing other duties as assigned What You'll Bring A high school diploma or equivalent FTTH installation and termination experience Knowledge of fiber-optic cable splicing and testing One to two years of broadband communications experience is preferred Excellent customer service and communication skills The ability to explain technical information clearly to customers The ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently in the field The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email, and internet-based applications Availability to work outside regular business hours when needed The ability to carry and safely operate a 32-foot ladder The ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces A valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a company vehicle Physical Requirements and Working Conditions This is an active, hands-on role performed indoors and outdoors in a variety of environments.

You must be able to:

Stand and walk for extended periods across various types of terrain Work outdoors in different weather conditions and temperatures Carry tools, equipment, ladders, and tool belts Carry, climb, and safely operate an extension ladder approximately 32 feet long Lift and carry up to 75 pounds Work in elevated areas, including roofs and utility poles Work in tight or confined spaces while bending, twisting, and reaching Crawl, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and grasp Safely use drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and other hand tools Operate computers and technical testing equipment Distinguish between different wire sizes and colors Use close vision, adjust focus, and accurately identify colors Work in environments that may contain dust, dirt, noise, insects, reptiles, or cleaning solutions Work safely near power lines and electrical equipment Meet the physical requirements for applicable personal protective equipment, aerial lifts, ladders, and climbing equipment Safely operate a company vehicle WOW! is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including minorities, women, protected veterans, individuals with disabilities, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
