Job Description

Overview Overview We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, ensures open communication with customers and the team, values professional growth, and pays attention to minute details. This job is tough, but if you enjoy challenges and are good with improvising and overcoming, then you will be a good fit for this job. New or experienced candidates will receive hands-on learning in field service to become the best in the game. As a Fiber Technician, you will be working alone or in buddy teams, in the elements, and will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our clients. Responsibilities Perform installation and configuration of fiber optic networks at client locations. Conduct routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues related to network performance. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete installations and repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and high-quality service delivery. Document all work performed, including installation details and service reports. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines. Maintain and organize your tools, vehicle, and priorities of work to receive the most efficient job completion and income. Qualifications Proven experience in field service or as a service technician within the telecommunications industry. (okay, if new to this industry) Have a valid Driver's License Own a truck preferably white vehicle that is capable to carry a 28' ladder. No fear of heights Ability to crawl in tight crawspaces, attics, or sit/stand/kneel for long periods of time Strong knowledge of computer networking principles, including Ethernet technologies. Familiarity with low voltage systems and the use of an ohmmeter for testing purposes. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with hand tools effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. $1,000.00 - $3,000.00 per week
