In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications infrastructure and network systems across residential and commercial sites. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity and reliable service for our customers. Responsibilities Install and configure telecommunications network cables, including fiber splicing and Ethernet wiring, ensuring optimal performance. Set up and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, satellite dishes, and other networking equipment. Conduct field service visits to install, repair, or upgrade residential and commercial telecommunication systems. Use hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, power tools, and mechanical tools to complete installations accurately. Test equipment using ohmmeters and other testing devices to verify proper operation and signal quality. Perform outdoor work involving ladder use, cable routing, fiber splicing, and electrical connections in various weather conditions. Maintain detailed documentation of installations, repairs, and testing procedures for quality assurance. Requirements Proven experience working as a telecommunications infrastructure technician or service technician in a field service environment. Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, low voltage wiring, and telephony systems. Hands-on experience with network installation involving Cisco routers, fiber splicing, cable installation, and equipment testing. Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly during field visits. Familiarity with electrical work, including electrical wiring standards and troubleshooting electrical issues using tools like ohmmeters. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools such as wire strippers, wire crimpers, power tools, and cable pullers effectively. Outdoor work experience with ladder use for cable routing or dish installation is highly preferred. Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients during installations or repairs. Physical ability to perform outdoor tasks requiring lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
