3008169379-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Cable One (Sparklight) seeks an Advanced Technician to support our Telecommunications Technical & Maintenance team. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot high speed internet, cable TV, and phone services for residential and business customers. Responsibilities include advanced network diagnostics, node and plant maintenance, CPE configuration, and escalated field repairs. You will collaborate closely with Network Engineering to implement upgrades, ensure signal integrity, document work, and uphold safety and quality standards while delivering exceptional, customer focused service in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot internet, cable TV, and phone services Perform advanced diagnostics on HFC and/or fiber networks Conduct routine and corrective plant and node maintenance Configure and support customer-premises equipment (CPE) and modems Resolve escalated field service and network performance issues Collaborate with Network Engineering on upgrades and implementations Ensure signal quality, network reliability, and compliance with standards Maintain detailed documentation of work, tests, and configurations Adhere to safety procedures and industry best practices in the field Provide customer-focused service and communicate technical issues clearly Required Skills HFC network troubleshooting Fiber optic installation and testing DOCSIS configuration and diagnostics TCP/IP networking fundamentals Customer-premises equipment (CPE) configuration Network test equipment (signal meters, OTDR, spectrum analyzers) Cable plant maintenance and repair Routing and switching basics IP voice/telephony fundamentals Technical documentation and ticketing systems
