Low Voltage Cabler (Enterprise Communications Technician)
Job Description
Job Description Installs, modifies, maintains,trouble shoots, repairs and programs all components of the communication systems throughout the health system. Maintains up-to-date documentation and logs work performed. Job Responsibility 1.Supports, maintains and implements the IT cabling infrastructure needs of the health system. 2.Install, repair, troubleshoot, test, and maintain various cabling infrastructures: including the build-out of, or additions to, cable plant infrastructure design needs in support of voice and data needs across the health system. 3.Performs cabling work across a variety of mediums. 4.Provide assistance to engineers with the installation, and testing services for the following: Phone Systems, Wireless systems (AP, Antennas), and Network devices (routers, switches, servers). 5.Ensures all cables are properly supported and bundled according to health system standards. 6.Conduct certification tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems are up to health system standards. 7.Ensures that all written documentations prepared are approved by leadership and conforms to health system standards. 8.Works on mostly routine and transactional assignments, guided by policies, procedures, guidelines and precedent. 9.Exercises independent judgement on basic or moderately complex issues regarding job and related tasks. 10.May interact with multiple health system groups, leadership and external vendors, partners or clients for the successful implementation of IT Infrastructures. 11.Requires minimal instruction on day to day work; majority of work is self directed; receives instructions on new assignments. 12.Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
