•This position is a term appointment following the School Calendar, available September 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.

•The Graphic and Visual Communications Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging lessons to students in a two-year NYSED approved CTE program, aligned with industry standards. Deliver comprehensive instruction in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, on Apple hardware; Teach core principles of design theory, art history, and the influence of landmark designer; Facilitate hands-on industry-specific project work, including digital photography and basic video production; Prepare students for the workforce by teaching "professional skills" such as building, maintaining, and growing client relationships; Maintain an industry-standard lab environment, ensuring students are proficient in "technical skills" such as in computer literacy and Apple OS; Collaborate with the work-based learning coordinator to oversee student internships and industry partnerships to provide real-world exposure; Track student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet varying abilities and learning styles; Prepare students for certification exams by reviewing materials and administering practice tests; Maintain accurate administrative records for attendance, grades, certification exam results, and other data; Stay current with teaching methodologies and industry trends in relevant CTE fields; Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, parents, advisory boards, and industry partners in the community; Implement BOCES policies, procedures and State Education Department mandates; Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications NYS Classroom Teacher Certification in Visual Arts; or NYS Classroom Teacher Certification in Technology Education; or Candidates who do not hold the following certification(s), but have the appropriate industry experience
