Fiber Optic Field Technician

Fiber Optic Field Technician - Contractor (1099) We are looking for a Fiber Optic Field Technician to work with us as a 1099 contractor. The job involves providing residential internet service by running fiber optic cable from the utility pole to the customer's home, completing the installation, and making sure the service is working properly. The technician must deliver clean, professional work and provide good customer service to each customer. Responsibilities Run fiber optic cable from the pole to the customer's home Complete residential internet installations Ensure the service is fully working before leaving the site Communicate clearly and professionally with customers Follow company instructions and field standards Requirements Basic experience with fiber work or previous fiber installation experience Willing to start training and go to the field quickly Good customer service skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Minivan preferred Valid driver's license required Ability to carry and use a 28 ft ladder Contractor position (1099) Position Details Field-based work Routes vary daily No fixed starting location Paid per route / per job Training provided for the right candidate
