Field Services Manager Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician with expertise in low voltage wiring to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems in retirement communities and long-term care facilities . This role is vital in ensuring the safety, comfort, and operational efficiency of healthcare environments through reliable low voltage infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including nurse call systems, access control, CCTV, fire alarm, intercom, and data cabling. Perform on-site diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure proper system configuration. Work closely with nursing home staff to minimize disruption during service visits and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Complete detailed service reports, documentation, and inventory logs for each job site. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate installations. Adhere to all OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards while working in sensitive healthcare environments. Travel to multiple client sites within a designated region, sometimes with short notice and/or overnight stays. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, telecommunications, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in low voltage wiring or field service work, preferably in healthcare or senior living environments. Proficiency with tools and equipment used in low voltage installations and repairs. Familiarity with systems such as JNL Quantum, Accutech, MiAlert or similar nurse call platforms is a strong plus. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally with elderly residents and facility staff. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or elevated areas. Preferred Skills Experience with structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6) and fiber optics. Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance as it relates to technology systems. Certifications such as BICSI, NICET, or manufacturer-specific training are a plus. $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
