Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.
Full-Time | Travel Required About the Position Ghost Systems LLC is hiring Field Data Collection Technicians for utility pole fielding projects throughout Oregon. We are seeking both new and experienced fielders . Training may be available for qualified candidates. This is a full-time travel position . Field teams will travel throughout Oregon and may be away from home for extended periods. Responsibilities Collect field data on utility poles and telecommunications infrastructure. Photograph poles and equipment according to project requirements. Collect Height of Attachment (HOA) and other required measurements. Document utility and telecommunications attachments. Use Katapult Pro, Fulcrum, IKE GPS , and other field-data software. Record accurate GPS locations, measurements, photographs, and field observations. Review field data for accuracy and completeness. Work safely around roadways, utility infrastructure, rights-of-way, and varying terrain. Communicate with project management regarding completed work and field conditions. Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to travel extensively throughout Oregon and stay away from home for extended periods. Must have a reliable field partner/assistant who is available to travel and work alongside you as part of a two-person field team. Reliable smartphone/mobile device capable of running field applications. Laptop suitable for field work. Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and terrain. Comfortable with frequent driving, walking, standing, and physically active outdoor work. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow project instructions. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Experience Utility, telecommunications, surveying, GIS/GPS, construction, inspection, or previous field data collection experience is a plus, but not required . We are looking for dependable individuals who are willing to learn, work hard, travel, and take pride in collecting accurate field data.
