Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure across construction job sites . This is a hands-on field role focused primarily on establishing reliable internet connectivity and setting up and supporting desktop/workstation environments at temporary construction offices. The technician will travel to various construction sites to deploy internet and networking equipment, including cellular and satellite solutions such as Starlink , and set up desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, phones, and other technology required to operate the job-site office. Starlink/satellite internet experience is a major plus. Candidates with hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting Starlink, cellular internet, mobile hotspots, antennas, modems, or other temporary internet solutions are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Travel to construction sites to set up and establish internet connectivity for temporary/mobile job-site offices. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Starlink/satellite internet, cellular internet, mobile hotspots, modems, antennas, and related connectivity equipment . Configure routers, switches, wireless access points, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and other network equipment. Set up and maintain desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, phones, and other workstation equipment at construction sites. Install and terminate copper/fiber cabling and establish wired and wireless network connections. Troubleshoot internet outages, Wi-Fi issues, network connectivity, hardware failures, and workstation problems. Configure Windows systems, applications, 2FA/MFA, user devices, and peripherals. Provide on-site and remote technical support to construction-site personnel. Replace faulty hardware, perform software updates, and maintain operational workstations. Support cameras, access control, conference room equipment, and other job-site technology as needed. Maintain documentation of equipment installations, network configurations, connectivity issues, and service activities. Coordinate with internet providers, technology vendors, and internal teams when required. Collect and recover technology equipment when a construction project is completed. Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on IT, desktop support, technical support, systems support, or field service experience. Proven experience setting up and troubleshooting desktop computers, laptops, workstations, printers, and peripherals . Experience installing/configuring routers, switches, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and network equipment . Hands-on experience setting up internet connectivity in remote, temporary, mobile, or field environments . Experience with cellular/mobile internet solutions, hotspots, modems, and antennas. Starlink or other satellite internet installation and troubleshooting experience is highly preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in changing field environments. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record for the past 5 years. Must be willing to travel regionally and nationwide, including overnight stays. The technician must be comfortable traveling to different job sites, working outdoors and in varying weather conditions, and working in active construction environments. Ability to lift equipment up to 30 lbs. and work at heights when required is necessary. Travel may involve driving a personal vehicle or flying. Approved business travel expenses are paid or reimbursed.
