We are looking for a dynamic, self-driven Field Technician with an aptitude for a wide variety of responsibilities. This role will grow with the company, taking ownership of installing and supporting on-site IT for multiple SMB customers, including desktops, servers, and networks. You will have the full support of our in-house Help Desk and Engineering departments to ensure a seamless client experience. Key Responsibilities On-Site Support & Client Relations Perform daily on-site visits and travel to client offices to handle special projects, deskside support needs, and relationship-building. Provide the highest level of customer service with patience, strong follow-up, and respect for the client's working environment. Communicate thoroughly and consistently with internal teams regarding on-site visits to ensure a unified client experience. Identify site improvements and present constructive suggestions to the internal team. Document processes, create tickets for future follow-up, and handle solution reporting. Technical & Hardware Duties Execute computer repair, maintenance, and security tasks—ranging from physical component cleaning to detailed software diagnosis. Install and repair devices including desktops, laptops, printers, and conferencing systems. Perform physical networking functions, such as running and terminating cables between computers, servers, and switches. Apply mechanical knowledge of wiring schemas, tools, and layouts for running cables through ceilings, walls, and fixtures (basic understanding of telecom and security wiring is a plus). Troubleshoot and support Operating Systems, Microsoft Applications, and core networking components.
Qualifications & Skills Experience & Education:
Associate degree or trade certification in a computer-related field (or equivalent), or up to 3 years of related experience.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of OS troubleshooting, MS applications, hardware repair, and basic networking.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal business communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain operational methods.
Team Player:
Positive attitude with strong business, ethnical, analytic, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Professional Attributes:
Highly organized, motivated, professional, and strategic-minded with a positive team-player attitude.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to carry equipment and perform physical on-site installations.
Availability:
Willingness to work occasional after-hours project implementations.
Requirements:
Must pass a national background check and possess reliable transportation for 100% travel requirements.
