This position supports operation and maintenance program managing the voice and data services at the Savannah River site.

Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair all telecom equipment at SRS Interpret Work Orders and Trouble Tickets, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair Avaya digital, analog, VoIP, and speakerphones Install and terminate Cat5E/Cat6/Cat6A cable (on 110, 66, and wire wrap termination blocks), cross boxes and central office cross connections Be able to discuss/demonstrate knowledge of 4 pair color code Install and terminate patch panels (loaded and unloaded), jacks, and faceplates Test cables, translate test results, and download test results from scanner to computer Install cross-connects for data and voice jacks. Installing voice cross-connects would benefit from knowledge of 25 pair color code Maintain material inventory on vehicles, tools, test equipment and assigned vehicle Prepare and maintain documentation on safety, security, quality and billing

Required:

Ability to pass a background/criminal/drug test and receive a DOE Q Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen with current driver's license High School Diploma plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience Must be able to pass to obtain DOE Clearance Ability to work in cool environments, climb ladders, lift 50 lbs and stand on your feet for extended periods of time #

$32.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
