Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Network Infrastructure Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex telecommunications and computer networking systems across various environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity, reliable communication systems, and efficient network operations. Duties Install and configure structured cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cables, and low-voltage electrical wiring to support telecommunications and data networks. Perform fiber splicing and fiber optic systems installation to ensure high-quality data transmission. Set up and troubleshoot network equipment such as Cisco routers, Juniper devices, switches, and VoIP telephony systems to maintain optimal performance. Conduct network wiring and cable termination using hand tools and power tools while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Test telecommunications systems using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters, telecommunication testing equipment, RF testers, and other specialized instruments. Diagnose and repair network hardware issues, including computer hardware, servers in data centers, and telecommunication equipment. Provide field service support for client sites by performing routine maintenance, system upgrades, and emergency repairs with a focus on customer service excellence. Read schematics and technical diagrams to accurately install or troubleshoot complex communication systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as NEC regulations while working on electrical or low-voltage systems. Collaborate with clients to assess their networking needs and recommend tailored solutions for LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), or other telecommunication systems. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or field technician specializing in telecommunications or computer networking. Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, fiber optic system installation, and testing RF signals for radio frequency testing projects. Strong knowledge of Ethernet cabling standards (Cat5e, Cat6), structured cabling installation, and cable termination techniques. Familiarity with Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, Avaya telephony systems, and VoIP technology. Practical experience working with low-voltage electrical wiring and AC/DC electrical systems in commercial or industrial settings. Ability to use diagnostic tools effectively for troubleshooting network issues or equipment failures. Knowledge of NEC electrical codes related to telecommunications wiring installations. Service technician experience in data centers or large enterprise environments is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical clients.
