Job Title:

Field EngineerJob Description We are seeking dedicated field engineers in the El Paso/Las Cruces area who are experienced in utilizing Katapult/IKE equipment and completing field audits. Candidates must be local to the El Paso/Las Cruces area but will report to the management team in San Antonio. Responsibilities

+ Confirm project/work order and assigned route before departing.

+ Review scope and maps for field assignments.

+ Complete pre-safety/JHA checklist.

+ Verify the presence of PPE, measuring tools, and device/tablet.

+ Confirm each pole/location prior to data collection.

+ Record pole number, owner, class, and height using Katapult, including details of existing electric and communication attachments.

+ Capture required heights, clearances, spans, guys/anchors, and other measurements using the Katapult system.

+ Capture proofing measurements to assist in back-office height calibration verification.

+ Upload and sync field data and photos to shared folders and Katapult.

+ Accurately enter time, mileage, pole count, phase/task, and comments.

+ Notify supervisor upon completion of assigned field work.

+ Send End of Day emails detailing work completed. Essential Skills

+ Experience with power poles, utility poles, and overhead utilities.

+ Electrical knowledge.

+ Proficiency in completing field audits for distribution poles using Katapult.

+ Ability to use a computer/iPad for field audits.

+ Familiarity with ArcGIS and Spida. Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Katapult and IKE equipment.

+ Understanding of field and pole distribution.

+ Background in power distribution. Work Environment This position offers a supportive work environment with benefits such as paid time off and holidays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of El Paso, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
