To provide support to the public for Emergency and non-emergency related incidents by dispatching calls for service to Police Officers serving the school district.Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
TCOLE Tele-communicator license required of the position. Telecommunications Operator License through TCOLE-training must be done within six months of the date of hire. Must re-test every two years for this course. Sub-Agency User Administrator, orS.A.G.Y.- TLETS

Maintains proficiency and training requirements of a Telecommunications Operator License. Ability to get along with other employees and the public.Experience:
TCOLE Tele-communicator license required of the position. Must proficiently pass all TCOLE required courses and obtain license within the mandated times if candidate does not hold the TCOLE Tele-communicator license. Successfully pass a personal background investigation, psychological evaluation, medical physical, drug screen and oral interview.Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Receive and record emergency and routine business calls.
- Process and prioritize incoming calls for police, fire, and EMS assistance.
- Responsible for answering all incoming phone lines including 9-1-1 calls from schools.
- Provides support requests for Police and Fire, and EMS personnel.
- Provides Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) protocols to citizens requiring medical assistance.
- Ability to understand and proficiently use a Computer Aided Dispatch program.
- Have knowledge of District emergency plans in the event of crisis.
