Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Job Description

Broadband Internet Installer / Field Technician Patriot Broadband of South Texas is seeking an experienced Broadband Internet Installer to join our growing team serving Pleasanton, Jourdanton, Poteet, and Leming. This is NOT an entry-level position. Applicants must have prior broadband internet installation experience with a wireless ISP provider and be capable of performing installations with minimal training. Responsibilities Install and troubleshoot fixed wireless broadband internet services. Mount and align antennas and customer premise equipment. Install routers, PoE devices, and Ethernet cabling. Perform site surveys and optimize wireless signal performance. Diagnose and resolve customer connectivity issues. Provide professional, courteous customer service. Maintain accurate installation and service records. Required Qualifications Previous broadband internet installation experience is required. Working knowledge of networking, IP addressing, routers, PoE equipment, and Ethernet cabling. Experience mounting equipment on roofs, poles, or towers. Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Valid Texas driver's license. Ability to safely climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred Experience Fixed Wireless ISP (WISP) experience. Experience with Tarana , Ubiquiti, Cambium, MikroTik, or similar wireless equipment. Fiber installation and splicing experience is a plus.
