A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Headquartered in Fairview, Utah, the company owns and operates a statewide fiber-optic network comprising metropolitan access networks and extensive coverage throughout rural Utah.
Job Description:
Install, maintain, and repair internet services (fiber to the home, fixed wireless, and cable modem) in the Delta, Hinckley, Lynndul, Utah area. This position will include a lot of locating. Locator is responsible for identifying, locating, and marking underground telecommunications utilities to minimize accidental damage or service disruption due to construction activities Must live in the Delta, Hinckley or Lynndyl area to better respond to troubles and emergencies.

Responsibilities:
Run new cabling into new or existing buildings Repair and maintain plant infrastructure Test and troubleshoot cable Will be required to be on-call some weeks Involves lifting and climbing ladders Frequent interactions with customers Perform Blue Stakes locates Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent An Associate/Bachelor's Degree in an electronics-related field is preferred but not required Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills Comfortable working indoors or outdoors Be able to do work with minimum supervision Have technical skills and knowledge of the telecommunications industry and installation •Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
