Low-voltage system cabling Driver's License Attention to detail Fiber optic systems installation Full Job Description Tri-Phase Electrical is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our Low Voltage division based in American Fork, Utah , serving projects throughout the Wasatch Front . This role has a strong emphasis on fiber optic and category cabling installation, so candidates must be experienced, detail-oriented, and ready to hit the ground running.
Primary Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, test, and certify fiber optic backbone cabling (single-mode and multi-mode) Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Category 5e, Category 6, and Category 6A cabling systems Perform horizontal and backbone cabling in commercial buildings, schools, industrial facilities, and healthcare environments Adhere to Bicsi industry standards and company best practices for high-performance network cabling Secondary Responsibilities (Preferred Experience): Install and support coaxial cabling systems Assist with the installation and setup of access control systems, CCTV/security cameras, and intrusion systems Work on paging systems and Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) Interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical documentation
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience with fiber optic and structured cabling installation Skilled in fiber fusion and/or mechanical splicing, OTDR testing, and cable certification Familiar with
BICSI, TIA/EIA
