Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician for a 1-year contract opportunity supporting IT installations, desktop support, networking, and connectivity solutions for construction job sites in and around Salt Lake City, UT, with regional and nationwide travel. This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys working in the field, solving technical problems, and supporting technology in active construction environments. You will help deploy and maintain mobile job-site offices, including computers, network equipment, Wi-Fi, cellular connectivity, satellite internet, printers, cameras, phones, and related systems. This opportunity offers varied, practical technical work across multiple locations, exposure to field-based infrastructure projects, and the chance to support critical technology operations in a fast-moving construction environment. Candidates who are self-directed, safety-conscious, and comfortable partnering with field teams, vendors, and technical stakeholders will be well positioned for success. Key Responsibilities Set up, configure, and support desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, phones, conference room equipment, cameras, access control systems, and other job-site technology. Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless access points, Ethernet, Wi-Fi networks, cellular internet solutions, and satellite internet systems. Support Starlink or other satellite internet deployments, including antennas, modems, connectivity troubleshooting, and remote access solutions. Install and terminate copper and fiber cabling while following construction site safety requirements and field procedures. Perform software updates, hardware replacements, system configurations, asset distribution, asset recovery, and general technical troubleshooting. Document installations, configurations, service issues, resolutions, and coordinate with vendors or service providers as needed.
