Systems, equipment, and components on US Navy ships are continually being modified, added, and/or deleted. Because of this, the below lists are not all-inclusive.
HF/VHF/UHF LOS
Communications Antenna Systems High Frequency Communications Systems Very High Frequency Communications Systems NAVMACS Systems Tactical RF Communications Systems Tactical Link Systems Shipboard Wireless Communications Systems Tactical Amphibious Communications Systems Miscellaneous Communications Systems including, but not limited to, RD-674, MOBI, EPIRB, and Portable Communications Systems, and Ancillary equipment.
Qualifications :
Candidates for this position must possess the following professional experience and qualifications Shall demonstrate a minimum of four (4) years general experience gained in troubleshooting, repair, and assessment that includes two (2) years specific experience of at least one of the following system families. When aggregating experience from all resumes, a mix of experience across the following system families is desired.
HF/VHF/UHF LOS
Communications Antenna Systems (Examples include, but are not limited to, LWCA, HF Broadband or Narrowband Antenna Systems, AS-390, AS-1735, AS-2809, AS-3226, and AS-4163.) High Frequency Communications Systems (Examples include, but are not limited to, AN/URT-23, AN/URC-131, AN/URC-109, and
AN/URC-146.
) Very High Frequency Communications Systems (Examples include, but are not limited to, AN/SRC-54, AN/GRC-211, AN/VRC-46, and Bridge-to-Bridge.) NAVMACS Systems (Examples include, but are not limited to, AN/SYQ-7 variants and
AN/SYQ-26
variants.) Tactical RF Communications Systems (Examples include, but are not limited to, SAS, BAS, RDS, COMSEC, and
AN/USQ-155
). Tactical Link Systems (Examples include, but are not limited to, AN/SRQ-4, AN/URC-107, AN/URC-141, AN/URC-154, and
AN/USQ-167.
) Shipboard Wireless Communications Systems (Examples include, but are not limited to, AN/SRC-55 and
AN/SRC-59.
)
Physical and Mental Requirements :
Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding. Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, hard hats, etc. as required. Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the (Naval/ Maritime) facility and/or ship. Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
Pay & Benefits:
