Fiber Drop Installation Tech

Job Overview Join our Wave2Net team as a Fiber Drop Installation Technician, where you'll play a vital role in expanding and maintaining our telecommunications infrastructure. This energetic position involves installing and troubleshooting fiber optic cables to ensure seamless connectivity for residential and commercial customers. You'll operate heavy equipment, utilize hand and power tools—all while delivering exceptional service that keeps communities connected. Responsibilities Install fiber optic drops from main lines to customer premises using specialized cabling techniques and schematics. Operate power tools, and heavy equipment safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach locations. Conduct cable routing, trenching, and conduit installation in various environments, adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including installation logs, schematics updates, and incident reports. Qualifications Proven experience in field service roles within telecommunication or construction industries. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as a vibratory plow safely and efficiently. Knowledge of Ethernet wiring, LAN configurations, and low voltage electrical work. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting network or electrical issues

Environmental Requirements:

Factors affecting environmental conditions will vary depending on theassigned work area and task Strong climbing skills for working at heights on structures. Ability to carry and climb a 28' ladder from truck to pole and/or house Ability to Lift up to 70lbs Experience with hand tools, power tools, electrical experience preferred. Ability to work in an array or weather conditions Walking, sitting, kneeling, crouching for extended periods of time Driving (MUST have a good driving record)

Relevant Work Experience:

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
