Our team supports mission-critical systems that enable safe, efficient, and reliable terminal operations, including wireless communications, networking infrastructure, Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS), industrial IoT devices, and operational technology platforms. We work in complex, fast-paced environments where technical expertise, problem-solving, and system reliability are essential. As we continue to expand, we are seeking motivated technical professionals who want to build a career at the intersection of technology and port operations. This role provides the opportunity to receive specialized training and develop expertise in RTLS, industrial wireless systems, and advanced technologies used throughout modern container terminals and logistics facilities. Position Summary The successful candidate will support the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of RTLS infrastructure, wireless communications systems, networking equipment, sensors, and associated technologies at a major container terminal in Tacoma, Washington. RTLS experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with a strong technical foundation and demonstrated troubleshooting ability. Responsibilities Install, test, and maintain RTLS and wireless infrastructure Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, network, and communications systems Perform field diagnostics and root-cause analysis Support equipment commissioning and system upgrades Work with sensors, antennas, networking equipment, and field devices Document service activities and technical findings Follow all site safety and operational procedures Participate in technical training programs to become an RTLS specialist Required Qualifications Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience Minimum 3 years of technical troubleshooting experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Comfortable working with computers, software, and technical documentation Valid driver's license Ability to work in an active industrial environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following: Electrical Engineering Technology Electronics Technology RF Communications Telecommunications Industrial Controls Networking Wireless Infrastructure Field Service Engineering Two-Way Radio Systems Military Communications Systems Marine Electronics The following certifications are a plus: CompTIA Network+ CCNA

Certifications Military technical training Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is naturally curious, highly technical, and enjoys solving challenging problems. We are looking for someone who learns quickly, takes ownership of issues, and is interested in building a long-term career working with advanced RTLS and industrial wireless technologies. Preferred Experience Container terminal, port, maritime, or industrial facility experience is preferred but not required. Career Growth This position is designed as a career path into an RTLS Field Engineer role. Successful candidates will receive specialized training and opportunities for advancement as they develop expertise in RTLS, wireless systems, and industrial technology.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
