Job Description

Honda Racing Corporation, USA, a leader in motorsports racing, is seeking a highly organized and detailed oriented Engine Builder to join its Racing Program in Santa Clarita, California (North Los Angeles County). Responsibilities include engine rebuilding including teardown, cleaning, inspection measuring and sub-assembly, quality control and final fitting. Track engine and parts mileage, record detailed engine history and evaluates actual condition. Analyze and trouble shoot engine and performance problems. Generate various technical and summary reports. Analyze and prepare engine build procedures documentation to ensure engine consistency and quality control. Documentation of engine build/parts problems and recommended countermeasures Evaluation of assembly procedures. Will also be responsible for shop maintenance, keeping the washroom and grinding room clean; maintain engine carts and dollies, helping with tool / consumable inventory. Sort, separate and dispose of stock parts, chassis, and show and business group projects. Perform various tedious tasks, hone valve guides, grind and polish valve faces, etc. Minimum of 5 years professional high performance engine building experiences, or certified motorcycle or automotive dealership service technician experience. Previous experience with data entry, tracking and logging reports. Understanding of fuel injection systems. Electric/Hybrid engine experience highly desired. Experience using PC's with MS Office software and maintaining databases. Must have excellent communication skills; ability to work in team environment and able to work under minimal supervision; ability to be self-directed, detailed oriented who can effectively work well under pressure in a diverse environment.
