Small Engine Mechanic

About us Killingworth True Value, a family owned and operated business, has provided the local community with great customer service in a friendly atmosphere since 1983. Mechanic needed to repair/service 2 cycle and 4 cycle equipment, such as tractors, zero-turns, push mowers, generators, snow blowers, string trimmers, chainsaws, blowers and other outdoor power equipment. 40 hours per week. Successfully and safely provide service of recognized superior value: Troubleshoot problems through performing diagnostics Effectively and efficiently repair/rebuild components Complete all necessary documentation for repairs (parts orders, labor, etc.) Maximize efficient use of service and repair processes to provide fast, accurate service and minimize unnecessary expense: Plan proper repair procedures for efficiency Efficiently utilize tooling and technical resources Continually improve key processes Effectively communicate status of repair work with supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2 years' experience in troubleshooting and repair of equipment. Must be computer proficient to prepare service communications Ability to multitask & be highly organized, with the ability to be competent in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills Availability to work 5 days a week Manufacturer certifications preferred but not required

Essential Physical Job Qualifications:

Standing and walking Lifting (up to 60lbs.) Carrying (up to 50lbs.) Push/pull (up to 80lbs.)
