Job Description

This position is responsible for the inspection, service and repair of motorized power equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
Discuss equipment issues, and work performed with customers; Maintenance and repair of many brands of small equipment; Provide customer service and product information in the showroom; Keep accurate records of parts on work orders and keeping track of time spent on each job; Prepare and present estimates in a timely fashion; Keep work station clean and organized; Perform other job duties as needed. Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities): Exceptional mechanical ability with a good understanding of maintenance and repair of small engine products; Experience with a wide variety of manufacturers; Ability to lift 80 lbs. or more; Attention to detail; Ability to follow all safety practices; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated knowledge of sales approaches, methods and techniques; Great interpersonal and customer service skills; Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities; Responsible, goal-orientated and organized; Confident, proactive and willing to take on challenges; Great listening skills and able to take direction from individuals in higher-level positions; The ability to work independently or as a team. Mechanic knowledge required. Stihl silver or gold level training preferred. Paid based on experience.
