Small Engine Mechanic (Part‑Time) Lush Green Lawn - Felton, Delaware Position Overview Lush Green Lawn is seeking a reliable and knowledgeable Small Engine Mechanic to join our team on a part‑time basis. This role is ideal for a retired individual or someone looking to earn extra weekend or evening income while putting their mechanical skills to good use. You'll help keep our equipment running smoothly by performing maintenance and repairs on two‑cycle engines, small engines, and occasionally assisting with basic vehicle upkeep. If you enjoy hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and flexible scheduling, this role may be a great fit. --- Key Responsibilities Small engine repair — Diagnose and repair two‑cycle and four‑cycle engines (string trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, lawnmowers). Routine maintenance — Oil changes, spark plug replacement, carburetor cleaning, fuel system checks, blade sharpening, belt replacement. Equipment inspection — Identify wear, damage, or performance issues before they become major problems. Basic vehicle maintenance — Helpful but not required; may include battery replacement, fluid checks, minor repairs. General mechanical support — Any additional mechanical experience (ATVs, tractors, trailers, etc.) is welcomed and valued. --- Qualifications Strong knowledge of two‑cycle and small engines. Ability to diagnose and repair common engine issues independently. Experience with lawn‑care equipment preferred. Basic automotive maintenance skills a plus. Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working 1-2 weekend days or occasional evenings.
