Small Engine / Construction Tool Mechanic — Hollywood, FL $18-$22/Hour Based on Experience | Full Benefits | 3 Weeks PTO + Birthday Off | 9 Paid Holidays Durante Equipment is looking for a Small Engine / Construction Tool Mechanic to join our Hollywood, FL service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined and wants to build a career as a professional equipment mechanic . You'll work on a wide variety of contractor-grade equipment, including: Small gasoline engines Cutoff saws Hammer drills Pneumatic/air tools Pumps Generators Stump grinders Trenchers Tillers Plate compactors Pressure Washers Concrete mixers Mortar Mixers And other small construction equipment You'll work with equipment from manufacturers including Honda, Multiquip, Wacker Neuson, Barreto, Hilti , and others. What You'll Do Perform oil changes, preventive maintenance, and inspections Troubleshoot and repair small gasoline engines Diagnose fuel, ignition, starting, and carburetion problems Repair pneumatic and electrical tools Troubleshoot pumps, generators, compactors, mixers, and other equipment Identify parts needed for repairs Prepare rental equipment to go back into service Keep your work area clean and organized Learn from more experienced mechanics and continue developing your skills What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Has mechanical aptitude and enjoys fixing things Is comfortable using hand and power tools Has some experience with small engines, automotive, landscaping, construction equipment, motorcycles, generators, or similar equipment Is dependable and takes pride in their work Wants to learn and become a better mechanic Can troubleshoot problems rather than simply replace parts Previous professional mechanic experience is required.
