Marine Electrical Technician Assistant

Job Description

Marine Electrical Technician Assistant:
We are looking for a marine electrical technician assistant that has broad experience in the marine industry with a focus and interest in electrical systems. We are willing to train the right individuals but require the basic ability to test electrical systems using multimeters and competence in hand and power tools. ABYC electrical certification is a plus. Our work involves AC and DC circuits, generators (both engine and electrical, as well as new installs), basic carpentry, electronics, and more so let us know where your experience lies. We are a small company so an eagerness and interest in the work is essential.
Prerequisites:
  • ABYC Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of power and hand tools: drills, saws, drill press, soldering iron, multi-meter, test equipment for marine electronics.
  • Experience in the marine boating industry
  • Past professional experience as a marine electrical technician ideal.
Responsibilities:
  • Installation of batteries, inverters, chargers, etc
  • Installation of AC and DC circuits
  • Installation of bilge pumps, water, pumps, including basic plumbing
  • Shop clean up, parts pick up, general helper
  • Surface prepping, painting, sanding Pay depends on experience, starting $20 to $30 per hour with part time or full time available.
