This vacancy is for a WL - 5334-10,Marine Machinery Mechanic Leader located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, INDUSTRIAL
PRODUCTION FACILITY MIAMI
in MIAMI BEACH, Florida.Qualifications:
Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired. Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements: To qualify for the Marine Machinery Mechanic Leader, WL-5334-10, applicants must meet the following screen-out job element to be considered for this position: Job Element #73: Ability To Lead or Supervise (Screen-out Element) to be considered eligible for the position. Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired. To meet the screen-out examples of the duties includes: Ability to Lead or Supervise (SCREENOUT ELEMENT
) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc (includes blueprint reading) Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Materials Troubleshooting National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
