  • 5:00 PM Industry installation, maintenance & repair (Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Occupations) Reference number S_178148 Job details Spherion is seeking a skilled and reliable General Service Mechanic to join a team that truly values its technicians.
In this role, you will focus on diagnosing and repairing small engines on commercial and residential landscaping equipment, such as mowers.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8 am
  • 5 pm (alternating half-days on Saturdays 8 am
  • 12 pm) .

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on gasoline-powered engines.
  • Service and maintain commercial and residential landscaping equipment, with a primary focus on mowers.
  • Work efficiently and independently with light supervision.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure quality, safe, and reliable repairs.
Working hours:
8:00 AM
  • 5:00
PM Skills:
  • Prior experience troubleshooting and repairing small engines specifically for commercial landscaping or lawn care companies.
Education:
High School Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience working on gasoline-powered engines, including advanced diagnostics.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to stand throughout the workday and comfortably bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch to access low-clearance areas of equipment.
  • Must provide your own basic tools.
  • Commitment to punctuality and excellent attendance.
  • Ability to complete mandatory online and in-person distributor update classes.
  • Reliable transportation to attend in-person classes, which may be located up to an hour away from the Ocala shop. Work Environment You will work in a supportive, modern shop environment.
