Full-Time Southwest Yachts Service & Parts is looking for an experienced, dependable Marine Mechanic / Service Technician to join our growing service team at Burnt Store Marina. We are a full-service marine repair and maintenance facility , working on a wide variety of sailboats, powerboats, and catamarans. Our technicians service and repair both inboard and outboard engines , along with the mechanical systems that keep our customers on the water. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is a strong troubleshooter, and understands the importance of doing the job right. What You'll Do Diagnose, service, and repair inboard and outboard marine engines Perform routine and manufacturer-recommended engine maintenance Complete 50-hour, 100-hour, annual, and preventative maintenance services Troubleshoot engine performance and starting issues Service fuel, cooling, exhaust, and lubrication systems Inspect and service transmissions, gearboxes, and saildrives Service and troubleshoot generators Replace impellers, filters, belts, fluids, zincs, and other components Diagnose pumps, plumbing, and other onboard mechanical systems Assist with marine electrical troubleshooting and repairs Perform inspections and identify needed or recommended repairs Assist with new-boat commissioning and warranty work Accurately document work performed, findings, parts, and recommendations Maintain a clean and organized work environment What We're Looking For Marine mechanic experience is preferred , particularly experience working with inboard and/or outboard engines. We will also consider experienced automotive, diesel, heavy-equipment, or similar technicians who have strong mechanical and diagnostic skills and want to transition into the marine industry.

Mechanically skilled with strong troubleshooting abilities Dependable and able to work independently Detail-oriented and organized Comfortable working aboard boats and in tight engine compartments Experienced with hand, power, and diagnostic tools Willing to learn different engine brands and marine systems Professional when working with customers and coworkers Able to accurately document completed work Able to lift and carry tools, parts, batteries, and typical marine service equipment Valid driver's license with reliable transportation Experience with Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Honda, Yanmar, Volvo Penta, generators, saildrives, marine electrical systems, or other marine equipment is a plus.
