Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Small Engine Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Your expertise will help customers get the most out of their outdoor power equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of machinery, utilizing your mechanical skills and technical knowledge to deliver exceptional service. Duties Diagnose issues with small engines, including lawn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and other outdoor power equipment using schematics and technical manuals Perform repairs and maintenance on small engines, power tools, generators, and related equipment to restore functionality Conduct electrical diagnostics on engine systems and electrical components to identify faults accurately Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems effectively Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and improve performance Assist customers by explaining repair procedures, providing maintenance advice, and ensuring excellent service experience Handle manual lifting of heavy equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols during all repair activities Qualifications Proven experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or in a similar automotive or equipment repair role Dealership experience or service technician background highly preferred Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals Experience repairing diesel engines, small engines, and power generation systems is desirable Electrical experience including diagnostics and troubleshooting electrical systems in engines or equipment Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for repairs Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and manual handling safety procedures Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join our team today if you're passionate about machinery repair and eager to deliver top-tier service!
