Located in Tampa, Florida, the company specializes in crafting premium center console and dual console boats, as well as inboard diesel-powered sportfish yachts ranging from 28 to 65 feet. Job Overview We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Boat Builders to join our manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn and grow within the marine industry by assisting with the assembly and maintenance of our premium water transportation equipment. The ideal candidate will be eager to develop mechanical and electrical skills, work safely with hand tools and power tools, and contribute to building exceptional boats that meet our high standards of quality. Duties Assist in the assembly of boat components following technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, soldering equipment, and precision measuring instruments to perform tasks accurately Support marine electrical systems troubleshooting and maintenance, including electrical diagnostics and ship electrical systems repair Help with mechanical systems repair, marine engine repair, and propulsion system maintenance Perform heavy lifting and assist with water transportation equipment maintenance under safety protocols using personal protective equipment (PPE) Follow safety guidelines during all phases of assembly and maintenance activities Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper storage of tools and materials Qualifications Prior experience as a service technician or in vehicle or marine maintenance is a plus but not required; training will be provided Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with schematics or technical drawings preferred Experience with hand tools, power tools, soldering, calipers, ohmmeters, and maintenance procedures beneficial Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical instructions accurately Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in a physically demanding environment Good customer service skills are appreciated for team collaboration and communication Willingness to learn about marine electrical systems troubleshooting, sheet metal work, rigging, diesel mechanics, and watercraft assembly Commitment to safety practices including PPE use during all tasks Join us at Bertram Yachts where your hands-on skills will help craft world-class boats while you build a rewarding career in the marine industry!
