Job Description
Boat Technician Needed (Jupiter) Ellison's Premier Marine Services is seeking an experienced Marine Technician / Marine Mechanic to join our growing team in Jupiter, Florida. We are a family-owned and operated marine service company specializing in outboard and inboard engine service, diagnostics, repowers, electrical systems, hydraulics, plumbing, fiberglass repair, detailing, and yacht management. As an Authorized Mercury Marine Dealer, we take pride in delivering quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Position Responsibilities The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Diagnose, service, and repair gasoline outboard and inboard engines, with Mercury experience preferred.
- Troubleshoot and repair marine electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, steering, fuel, and mechanical systems.
- Install and rig engines, electronics, accessories, and marine equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and complete system diagnostics.
- Communicate with the service advisor and parts department to ensure accurate estimates, efficient repairs, and timely completion of work.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, labor, and parts used.
- Perform sea trials and final quality inspections when required.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Qualifications
- Previous marine technician experience required.
- Mercury certification is preferred but not required. Experience with Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, or other major marine brands is a plus.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Working knowledge of marine electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and fuel systems.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Technical marine training is an advantage. Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up 50+ lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in Florida weather.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work around boats for extended periods. What We're Looking For
