Job Description
Local small engine repair company looking for a qualified candidate to add to our team. A normal day would be spent doing pick up/deliveries of small engine equipment. Riding mowers, zero turn mowers and smaller equipment all over Bloomington/Normal and in surrounding areas (25 mile radius normally). Drivers license (non cdl) and ability to drive a truck (Ram 1500) with a 16 foot open trailer is a must. Once finished with the pick up/delivery route(s), as needed, we would cross train on doing light mechanic work (sharpening blades, repairing equipment or helping others with repairs, general shop work). Also receiving part's shipments and matching invoices with them for repairs to be done, looking up/ordering part's, helping load/unload customer equipment and doing general office/shop work. Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must. We are looking for a detailed and goal oriented person. Experience with part's breakdowns, part's ordering, QuickBooks, invoicing and mechanical knowledge would be helpful but not required We are a fast paced environment. The shop environment is hot/cold depending on the weather (heat but in/out often, no air) so candidate will need to dress accordingly and be able to withstand both extremes. Looking for part time (just driver) or full time (driver with shop help). Shop hours are 8am to 5pm and with this position there is some seasonality to it but we do NOT lay off during the winter We are extremely busy during the spring, summer and some of the fall but slower during the winter. The more skills a person has (or is willing to learn), the busier we could keep them throughout the year. Pay will depend on experience.
