Haysville, KS Job Details Full-time From $25 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Fabrication Automotive electrical systems Power tools Hand tools Tire service Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled, dependable In-House Mechanic to maintain and repair the equipment and vehicles that keep our lawn and landscape operations running. This role is responsible for reducing downtime through preventative maintenance, timely repairs, accurate recordkeeping, and a strong focus on safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain lawn and landscape equipment, including commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers, skid steers, compact equipment, trailers, and trucks. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, blade sharpening, belt replacement, tire service, lubrication, and seasonal equipment preparation. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fuel-system, and small-engine issues. Prioritize repairs based on operational needs to keep crews equipped and productive. Maintain organized service records, repair logs, parts inventory, and maintenance schedules. Order parts, supplies, and outside repair services as approved. Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and safe. Conduct pre-season and post-season inspections and prepare equipment for storage. Communicate repair status, equipment concerns, and replacement recommendations to management. Assist crews with equipment-use questions and help reinforce proper equipment care. Follow all company safety procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable regulations.
Snow Removal:
On call for emergencies, repairs and mobilization
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience repairing commercial lawn-care, landscape, small-engine, automotive, diesel, or compact construction equipment. Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, trailers, and preventative maintenance practices. Ability to diagnose issues independently and complete repairs efficiently. Comfortable using diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Welding, fabrication, CDL, ASE, or small-engine certifications are preferred but not required. Drivers License Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values craftsmanship and safety! Pay:
From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
