Job Description
Simpson Marine Services is seeking an experienced Marine Systems Technician to join our growing team. We specialize in high-quality marine refit, repair, and systems installation work throughout the Chesapeake Bay region. Position Overview We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented technician with strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience in marine systems. This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and install marine electrical (AC/DC) systems Install and service battery banks, charging systems, and inverters Troubleshoot pumps, bilge systems, freshwater and sanitation systems Install and service steering systems and helm components Perform equipment upgrades and refit projects Follow ABYC standards and best practices Communicate clearly with customers and team members Qualifications 3+ years of marine systems experience preferred Strong knowledge of 12V/24V DC systems and 120V AC systems Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams Experience with marine plumbing and mechanical systems Own basic tools Valid driver's license and reliable transportation ABYC certification is a plus
