at Cianbro in Kittery, Maine, United States Job Description The wage range for this position is $18 to $20 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on knowledge and experience. Job Responsibilities Watch for marine mammals during pile driving operations is the primary duty. Identify and document marine mammal sightings. Communicate sightings to other observers. Use binoculars and a compass to locate and identify species of marine mammals and bearings. Observe for long periods of time. Report animal sightings effectively and accurately. Maintain any required logs. Outfit and maintain proper safety equipment. Other duties as required. Qualifications/Requirements Minimum of (1) Biology class, course work in marine biology preferred. Computer and mobile technology preferred. Flexible schedule. Must also have a vehicle/cell phone. Must be able to work weekends. Must be able to work all daylight hours.
