Marine Systems & Mechanical Technician - Portland, ME Our client is an established marine services company specializing in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of sailboat rigging, spars, and related equipment. Our client is looking for a Marine Systems & Mechanical Technician to join their shop team. This role involves servicing and repairing inboard engines, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other onboard equipment for marine vessels. -- Responsibilities Diagnose, service, and repair inboard marine engines and related components. Diagnose and repair marine electrical systems, including 12V and 24V DC systems. Service AC shore-power and onboard electrical systems. Install and service batteries, charging systems, inverters, and related equipment. Diagnose, repair, and install freshwater, plumbing, and waste systems. Service marine sanitation and waste systems to ensure proper function. Diagnose, repair, and install marine HVAC systems. Service pumps, hoses, valves, and other onboard mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot complex onboard system problems and perform seasonal commissioning or decommissioning. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation. -- Qualifications Experience in marine systems, inboard mechanics, or related fields is preferred. Candidates with experience in diesel, automotive, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or other technical trades are encouraged to apply. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a mechanical and/or electrical aptitude. Experience using appropriate tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics. Strong attention to detail. Marine-industry certifications (ex.
