Duties Lead and supervise small engine repair projects, ensuring timely completion while maintaining quality standards. Diagnose complex mechanical issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools, and troubleshooting techniques. Perform repairs on small engines, diesel engines, generators, power generation systems, and heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery. Conduct electrical work including wiring repairs, soldering, electrical diagnostics, and system testing to resolve electrical faults efficiently. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering irons to execute repairs with precision. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and repair logs for all equipment serviced. Assist in training junior technicians on mechanical systems repair, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance best practices. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician background in small engine repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in engine repair—both gas-powered and diesel engines. Familiarity with schematics, electrical diagnostics, welding techniques, and equipment troubleshooting. Must Have your own tools Experience working with heavy lifting tools and manual handling of large or heavy machinery components. Knowledge of power generation systems and electrical work standards. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately to diagnose issues quickly. Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
