Overview "Boat World is hiring for an Experienced or Entry Level Marine Technician to join our team!" The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of marine systems and equipment. This role requires hands-on skills with attention to detail in marine mechanics, engine repair, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical systems repair. The Marine Technician will also be involved in installing marine equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities Perform routine and complex repairs on marine engines, including troubleshooting and restoring functionality. Conduct diagnostics and repairs on marine electrical systems to ensure proper operation. Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including propulsion, steering, and other critical components. Install various equipment such as navigation systems, communication devices, and safety gear. Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance. Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and installations accurately for record-keeping purposes. Ensure timely completion of each job. Preferred Experience Proven experience as a Marine Technician or similar role specializing in mechanics and electrical systems. Strong knowledge of marine engine repair and mechanical systems troubleshooting. Experience with Honda or Mercury motors/repairs. Experience with installing marine equipment. Relevant certifications or licenses related to marine mechanics or electrical work are advantageous. Competence in using precision measuring instruments such as multimeters (ohmmeters), calipers, micrometers for accurate diagnostics. Required Experience Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues efficiently. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail . Monday•Friday 8:00 am•5:00 pm PTO, Health and Dental after 90 day probationary period. Competitive pay base on experience.

Pay:

$70,000.00•$120,000.00 per year
