Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, vehicle, boat or trailer maintenance.. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery cars, boat trailers, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The Mechanic will work with a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and machinery Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication tasks Testing the performance of marine engines and electrical systems. Perform mechanical repairs on outboard, inboard and IO(Inboard Outboard) Troubleshooting engine mechanical failures and electrical problems. Replacing broken or worn-out engine parts. Repairing faulty hydraulic and steering systems. Diagnose and replace impellers and water pumps Perform general maintenance for boats Performing spring services and winterizing boats Completing service documentations and recommendations Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop or field Experience Previous experience as a mechanic or service technician is preferred Marine/Watercraft/Boat Technician, 3-5 years (preferred) Familiarity with electrical systems and rigging techniques is a plus High school diploma or GED. Degree in automotive and or small engines repair Proven work experience as a marine mechanic or automotive mechanic Knowledge of marine engine and electrical systems. Some welding skills. Knowledge of marine hydraulic systems and related parts. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces. Ability to work in automotive and boat shop settings. Knowledge of boat engine components Completing service records and repair documents.
